Major Crimes Investigating Suspicious Death on North Side

The Spokane Police Major Crimes Unit is investigating the circumstances surrounding a death in the 500 block of east Crown. Emergency crews responded to the area this morning and discovered one male deceased outside. Anyone with information about this incident that has not spoken to investigators is asked to call Crime Check at 509-456-2233.

This morning, January 24, 2017, just before 6:00am, emergency crews were called to the 500 block of east Crown on the report of a male passed out on the sidewalk in front of a home. When fire crews arrived on scene, they found a male deceased with a large amount of blood surrounding the body. Spokane Police patrol officers responded and called Major Crimes Investigators out to assist in the investigation.

At this time it’s unclear what the cause of death is. The Medical Examiner’s office will release the name of the deceased as well as the cause of death. The scene is currently being processed and investigators are asking anyone with information that they haven’t already talked to call Crime Check at 509-456-2233.
