Spokane Police successfully locate and arrest a 23 year old Repeat Offender and x4 time convicted Felon, after he attempts to carjack three separate individuals within minutes of one another in downtown Spokane.
At just after 8:00 am on January 27, 2017, the Spokane Police were conducting an investigation involving three separate incidents of a male suspect, who had just attempted to carjack three separate individuals in the downtown area. One of the victims was stopped on the I-90 W/B off-ramp to Division St, and the other two victims were parked in separate vehicles in the back parking lot of the Goodwill Thrift Store located at 202 E. 3rd Ave.
Two of the victims suffered minor injuries after the suspect attempted to forcefully remove them from their vehicles. One of the victims was a 67 year old female who sustained injuries to her neck after the suspect grabbed her by the neck and repeatedly yanked on her, trying to pull her out of her vehicle. The suspect was heard to be yelling at one of the victims “Give me your car! Give me your car!” The suspect was successfully located several blocks away by police and arrested.
The suspect has been identified as 23 year old Repeat Offender, Jyreel D. Brandom, who has extensive criminal history in Spokane, and is a x4 time convicted Felon. Brandom was booked into the Spokane County Jail on x2 counts of Attempted 1st degree Robbery, and x1 count of Attempted 2nd degree Robbery.
