UPDATE: The roads have been re-opened.

Freya/Sprague collision likely to snarl morning commute.

SPD is currently on scene investigating a two-vehicle collision at Sprague Ave and Freya St in East Spokane. A City of Spokane dump truck and a passenger car collided. One adult from the passenger vehicle was transported to the hospital with what is believed to be non-life threatening injuries.

Spokane Police Traffic Unit investigators are examining the scene, and the intersection may be closed for several hours. As this is a major intersection the traffic delays may be significant so please plan ahead, leave yourself extra time, and use an alternate route.
