Spokane Police Department Traffic Officers investigate early morning auto/pedestrian collision on Ash St. at Montgomery Ave. The pedestrian was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries.
On December 19, 2018, just after 6:00 a.m., a vehicle southbound on Ash St. struck a pedestrian near Montgomery Ave. The pedestrian was wearing dark clothing and received serious injuries. The pedestrian was transported to an area hospital for treatment. The intersection does not have marked crosswalks.
The vehicle driver is cooperating with SPD and impairment does not appear to be a factor.
Major Crimes Traffic investigators were on scene to collect evidence and document the scene. No infractions or citations have been issued at this time until the investigation is complete.
Ash St. is back open for traffic.
