SPD Major Crimes Detectives Investigating a Suspicious Incident

Spokane Police Department Major Crimes Detectives are investigating suspicious circumstances of a man found partially in the river. A citizen walking the Centennial Trail on Upriver Drive near Stone Street found the man at the location and called emergency services.

Today, just before 7:30 a.m., Spokane Police Officers responded to a man found partially in the river on Upriver Drive near Stone Street. A citizen discovered the male who was partially in the water. Medics requested police assistance due to the man appearing to be injured and potentially facing a life threatening condition.

The male was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

Patrol Officers secured the scene and requested Major Crimes Detectives assist with the investigation. This investigation is ongoing and there are limited details at this time.
