10:58 a.m. - Man charged with property crimes totaling over $14,000 worth of damage, clean up and theft, in acts of random destruction and theft downtown.

SPD Hosting Citizens Academy

11:03 a.m. - The Spokane Police Department is hosting a “Citizens Academy”, at the Spokane Police Academy and you are invited!

3:18 p.m. - SPD wants to remind you that school starts again for SPS on Aug. 29. SPD will be coordinating efforts to enforce the speed limits in school zones.

2:18 p.m. - The Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Project Committee will be hosting their first sign dedication for the Spokane’s Fallen Officers Memorial Project

11:40 a.m. - WSP and SPD worked together to pursue, track and arrest a vehicle theft suspect.

P.A.C.T. Arrests Ten Time Convicted Felon

10:21 a.m. - Spokane Police Night Patrol Anti-Crime Team arrest felon with handgun, realistic replica rifle, Methamphetamine, Heroin and Prescription Medications.

Voyeur caught in N. Spokane retail store

4:23 a.m. - Probable cause was developed to arrest 29-year-old Zakkary Deboer for voyeurism 1st degree

Aug. 20

SPD is seeking assistance locating missing vulnerable adult

11:10 p.m. - 75-year-old Cecelia Leonard-Shelby was last seen at about 4:30PM in the area of 2600 E 7th Ave. Cecelia suffers from dementia.

Harmon Park shooting sends one man to hospital

4:48 a.m. - An adult male subject was located suffering from gunshot wounds and transported to a local hospital with serious injuries

Attempted Burglary

2:46 p.m. - Three suspects arrested after attempted burglary.

Shooting in Riverfront Park

12:26 p.m. - Shooting in Riverfront Park, suspect arrested, no injuries

Wanted Man Taken Into Custody

11:07 a.m. - Spokane Police Officers take a wanted man into custody without incident after he hides himself in a home he does not belong in.

Aug. 13

Convicted Felon Shoots at SPD Officer

1:05 p.m. - Suspect shoots at officer's car leaving him unable to pursue due to the vehicle damage. After a long search, the suspect was located and arrested.

Aug. 12

Felon released after conviction for felony indecent exposure.

6:14 p.m. - Richard A Sala (29) was convicted of indecent exposure, a class C felony, and then released.

SPD Officers Respond to Burglary

12:36 p.m. - Saturday night SPD officers responded to an occupied burglary call in the Corbin Park Neighborhood.

Shooting Incident Closes Major Intersection

12:33 p.m. - A shooting on Spokane’s north side Friday night shut down a major intersection and leaves one male in the hospital with serious injuries.

Aug. 5

Burglary Arrest

1:03 p.m. - SPD responded to an alarm call at the Arc of Spokane. When Officers arrived on scene several males ran from the store and were later caught.

Aug. 4

Subject in Custody after Standoff in Perry District

11:43 a.m. - Jeremy Barkus was booked for Assault 1st DV, Unlawful Imprisonment DV, & Arson 2nd, as well as warrants for Assault 3rd & Malicious Mischief 3rd.

Aug. 1

20 Years to Life

4:59 p.m. - Judge gives convicted registered sex offender the maximum allowable sentence for Rape of a Child 1st degree and 1st degree Child Molestation.
