SRATTF Serves a Warrant for an Illegal Wrecking Yard

The Spokane Regional Auto Theft Task force (SRATTF) serves a warrant for an illegal wrecking yard in the 700 block of N. Altamont, recovering a stolen Harley Davidson, other miscellaneous stolen car parts and five firearms. 

On Monday, Oct. 14, a Spokane city police detective assigned to the SRATTF along with other members of the task force from the Washington State Patrol executed a search warrant for an “illegal wrecking yard” in the 700 block of N. Altamont. Jan A. Katzenbogan 62 years old was arrested for one count of possession of a stolen motor vehicle, one count of possession of stolen property and five counts of unlawful possession of a firearm 2nd degree. During the execution of the search warrant detectives recovered a stolen Harley Davisson Motorcycle, doors from a stolen pickup, miscellaneous parts from a stolen Subaru Forester and five firearms. Katzenbogan is a three time convicted felon and therefore it is unlawful for him to possess any firearms.
