Spokane Police respond to a Vehicle vs Pedestrian on the south side of the city in the early evening hours.
On 11-9-19, at approximately 5:37 PM, Spokane Police Officers responded to a Life Threatening Collision in the 4800 block of S Palouse Hwy between a vehicle and a pedestrian. The pedestrian who was hit received significant injuries and was transported to the hospital by medics. Major Crimes Collision Investigators have been called to the scene. The driver of the vehicle has remained on scene and interviews are taking place.
This investigation is in the preliminary stages and will take a few hours. S Palouse Hwy will be shut down between S Regal St and E Thor St for some time. Citizens traveling in the area will want to look for alternative routes. The Spokane Police Department would like to remind the motoring public to be cautious of pedestrians while on your daily travels as road conditions will be getting worse in the coming months.
