Gas Line Struck in The Area of Hamilton and Springfield

Be prepared for road closures and traffic slowdowns in the area of Hamilton and Springfield. 

Earlier this morning a gas line was struck by construction equipment in the area of Hamilton and Springfield.   Spokane Fire Department units and workers from Avista are on scene addressing the problem.   The city will be placing barricades to re-route traffic until the problem can be fixed.  Please avoid this area if possible.  Road closures will be in effect on Hamilton from Sharp to Trent as well as east and west of Hamilton from Columbus to Cincinnati.
