Major Crimes Investigating A Death in North Spokane

***Update***

Earlier today, Spokane Police Department Major Crimes Detectives booked Joshua Forrester into the Spokane County jail on the charge of First Degree Murder. This arrest stemmed from the 911 calls received this morning at about 0530 hours  from the area of 2900 East Diamond.  No other names or new information is being released at this time.  There is still investigative work being done on the case.

Original Release

Thursday, Dec. 26, 5:30 AM SPD patrol Officers responded to a “shots fired” call at an apartment building in the 2900 block of East Diamond.  Within minutes of receiving that call Officers were also dispatched to a report of a man “covered” in blood walking down the street at Queen and Haven.  

When Officers arrived at the apartment they found a woman, who was deceased and an infant who was alive and appeared unharmed.  Officers located the male covered in blood and detained him.  SPD Major Crimes Unit personnel responded and are conducting an investigation. 

The Spokane Police Department is not searching for any other people in connection to this incident.
