Spokane Police arrested a suspect who slashed tires on eight different vehicles with a knife.
Today April 21, just after 1:15PM Spokane Police responded to the area of S Jefferson St. / W 1st Ave. A witness reported they had observed a female slashing tires with a knife. When Officers arrived, they located and detained 22 year old Lorelei M. Lisenby in the area. Officers discovered that eight different vehicles, parked in the alley, had the tire sidewalls cut by a knife. The damages were valued in excess of $5,000. There was no connection between the victims and Lisenby. Probable cause was established to arrest Lisenby for Malicious Mischief 1st. She was booked into the Spokane County.
Spokane Police would like to encourage anyone who witnesses a crime to call Crime Check at (509)456-2233, or 911 if it is an active event where someone’s safety is in question. Thanks to the information and description provided by the witness, Lorelei was quickly located in the area and she was unable to escape. Even with the current public health challenges we face, Spokane Police will continue to work diligently to investigate crimes and hold criminals accountable for their actions.
