Two porch pirates were arrested on Thursday evening after taking a couple packages off of porches and stealing the contents inside.

On January 14, 2021, an alert neighbor in north east Spokane observed two people walking down the street. They had a couple packages and were opening them as they were walking. The couple removed the contents and left the empty packages on the ground. The neighbor looked at each package and discovered it was from two different residences, both on his street. He then followed the couple several blocks and kept an eye on them until Officers responded and detained the two. They were identified as 37 year old Thomas Nollen and 36 year old Valerye Scraper.

Both were arrested for 2 counts of theft. Nollen was also booked into jail for his felony warrant. The stolen items were returned to their rightful owners. A special thanks to the neighbor because without his assistance, this case would have never been solved.
