SPD responds to call from an employee saying their boss was threatening to kill another employee

Spokane Police responded to a business in the 200 block of E. Wellesley about 2:35 this afternoon after an employee called 911 stating their boss was making threats to an employee. The business was surrounded by officers and evacuated of employees and customers. An SPD Bearcat was deployed, along with Hostage Negotiators, SWAT, and Behavioral Health Units. As officers were attempting contact with the suspect, he exited the building and was taken into custody without incident. The suspect is identified as Mark J. Settle 4/21/60.
