Steven Bronowski has been apprehended and is in custody in another state awaiting extradition to Spokane. Bronowski is a suspect in the shooting death of Ammar Johnson on 03/02/2022.

Suspect identified in homicide last week – SPD seeks information
Spokane Police detectives have identified Steven Blain Bronowski Sr. (56) as a suspect in the shooting death of 28 year old Ammar Johnson on 03/02/2022. Bronowski currently has arrest warrants for Second Degree Murder, First Degree Assault, and Drive By Shooting. SPD is asking the public for assistance in this homicide case. Citizens with information are asked to call Crime Check at 509-456-2233 and reference report number 2022-20034942.
Original Release 3/2/22:
Drive-by shooting results in the death of a man
SPD Patrol officers responded to the lower South Hill this morning - 03/02/22 - about 5:15 on a call of a drive-by shooting. The victim was pronounced dead shortly after officers arrived at the apartment complex in the 1100 block of W. 7th Ave. This is an active investigation and at the time of this writing, no suspect has been apprehended. Police do not believe this was a random shooting thus there does not appear to be an ongoing threat to the public.
