On May 25th, 2025 at 9:43pm SPD and the Spokane Fire Department responded to the area of High Drive and Bernard on a report of multiple fires on the hillside. City Fire quickly put the fires out and it was determined the fires had been intentionally set. A total of 11 fires were started in the area.
Officers began the checking the area to assist Fire Investigators and utilized Drones from the SPD Air Support Unit to look for any possible suspects. Detectives from the SPD Major Crimes Unit (MCU) are actively working the case.
