Butterfly Plaza
Central Promenade & Bridges

The Central Promenade is a pedestrian-only walkway that serves as the main gateway into Riverfront Spokane and connects the north and south river banks. This park pathway includes both the South Howard Street Bridge and North Channel Bridge and boasts beautifully designed hardscapes, lush greenspaces and unique step-down features allowing guests to experience the beauty of the Spokane River. The Promenade is available in sections or in its entirety as the ideal location for car shows, food trucks, carnivals and other large celebrations.

Central Plaza
Clock tower Meadow

The Clock Tower is one of Spokane's oldest and most iconic structures. Centrally located along the Spokane River, Clock Tower Meadow is a local favorite for small to medium sized events such as walks and runs, musical performances, art festivals, vendor fairs and more.

Havermale Point

Havermale Point sits to the immediate east of our Forestry Shelter. This location has slightly sloped lawn with a cement platform at the base, making it a great area for weddings, concerts and company picnics.

Lilac Bowl

The Lilac Bowl is Riverfront's largest open-air venue and boasts unhindered views of downtown Spokane. Conveniently located across the river from the First Interstate Center for the Arts, the Lilac Bowl features gradually-slopped greenspace that meets at a river-view platform creating a natural amphitheater while offering plenty of tree-shaded landscape at the venue's borders. This popular space hosts some of the parks largest music events, outdoor movies, community festivals and rallies.

Looff Carrousel Patio

The 1909 Looff Carrousel is one of the most beautiful and well preserved carrousels in America and listed in the National Register of Historic Places. Our Carrousel is one of the most visited attractions in Spokane and provides a unique location for family reunions, weddings, receptions, holiday parties and other special occasions.

Numerica Skate Ribbon

Once of Spokane's most popular winter destinations, the Numerica Skate Ribbon invites skaters to explore the dips and climbs of a wandering ice trail, discover scenic urban views and cozy up with hot cocoa at one of three outdoor fire pits. The ribbon hosts roller skating, scooters and other programmed activities during summer months and is home to the SkyRide and Sky Ribbon Café. In every season, this 16-foot t-wide, 650-foot-long ribbon is a must-see Spokane destination and perfect for your next holiday party or special occasion.

Pavilion

Located in the heart of Riverfront, the Pavilion is Spokane's iconic multipurpose event venue. Equipped with programmable LED light blades over a modern outdoor amphitheater, a 40' elevated terrace overlooking the Spokane River and indoor meeting spaces and facilities, the Pavilion has everything you need for your indoor or outdoor event. The venue's robust power capabilities can accommodate everything from large-scale touring productions and traveling carnivals to intimate wedding ceremonies and corporate retreats.

Red Wagon Meadow

The Red Wagon Meadow is a sprawling greenspace located along Spokane Falls Boulevard and home to one of Spokane's most cherished pieces of public art – The Childhood Express. This iconic sculpture is a 12-foot-high, 12-foot-wide, and 27-foot-long replica of the classic Radio Flyer Wagon. Created by artist Ken Spiering, this larger-than-life symbol of childhood is also an interactive play structure with monkey bars and a slide. The Red Wagon Meadow is the perfect location for family gatherings and events.

Snxw Meneɂ

Snxw Meneɂ (sin-HOO-men-huh) Island was rededicated to the Spokane Tribe of Indians in 2016 in acknowledgement of their sacred and ancestral connection to the land along the Spokane River. Located just north of the blue bridge, the island features beautiful winding walkways, lush greenspace and a built-in amphitheater perfect for small performances, wedding ceremonies and other intimate gatherings.

Tribal Gathering Place

Tribal Gathering Place is a modern plaza adjacent to City Hall connecting the downtown corridor to the Spokane River gorge. The space features exceptional views of the falls, scenic overlooks and terraced event spaces. The tranquil water feature, or "rain garden" and natural gas flame feature make this a unique venue for receptions, wedding ceremonies, fitness events and other intimate gatherings.

Outdoor Shelters

Forestry Shelter

The Forestry Shelter is located on the northeast end of the park and is Riverfront's largest outdoor shelter. The shelter's historic charm adds a rustic touch to any event and is a popular choice for family reunions and corporate picnics.

Northbank Shelter

The North Bank Shelter is located along the Spokane River overlooking the upper Spokane Falls and Snxw Mene Island. Just east of the historic Flour Mill, the shelter is a brief walk to, or from the Spokane Arena and a convenient location for company picnics or other small group gatherings.

Cancellation Policy

  • If cancelled 60 days or more prior to the Reservation date, full refund.
  • 30 to 60 days prior to the Reservation date: 50% refund of deposit.
  • 30 days or less prior to the Reservation date: No refund of deposit.
