12:27 p.m. - Spokane Fire Department officials are investigating if squatters are responsible for starting a house fire.

Quick work by firefighters stops fire from causing further damage

9:26 p.m. - Fire crews prevented a fire from destroying a house and causing further damage to the surrounding area. There were no injuries reported.

Aug. 19

House fire displaces two residents and their pets

7:03 p.m. - Fire crews were dispatched to a reported structure fire in the 800 block of S. Freya St.

SFD responds to house fire and discovers hash oil explosion

6:58 p.m. - The Spokane Fire Department responded to a report of a residential structure fire in the 700 block of E. Ermina Ave.

Attic Fire Strikes Home in Logan Neighborhood

5:49 a.m. - Last night just before 9 p.m. SFD responded to the 1600 block of E. Marietta Ave. for a reported residential structure fire.

Working smoke detector alerts sleeping occupant

11:09 a.m. - SFD along with Spokane County Fire District 8 responded to the 3500 block of E. 48th Court for a reported residential structure fire.

4:12 p.m. - The City of Spokane is partnering with Spokane C.O.P.S. to launch the #SpokaneStrong Neighborhood Safety outreach campaign.

Firefighters contain garage fire and limit damage to home

6:48 a.m. - At 2:37 a.m., the Spokane Fire Department (SFD) responded to the 6000 block of North F Street for a report of an attached garage on fire.
