Liberty Park Receives New Playground, Restroom, Disc Golf Course

9:34 a.m. - Liberty Park’s new playground and restroom will open on Friday, September 29, marked by a ribbon cutting event at 10 a.m.

Riverfront’s Lilac Butterfly Will Fly Again in October

9:17 a.m. - Riverfront park’s iconic lilac butterfly will again get its wings, as it is reconstructed after high winds brought it down in January 2021

Susie Stephens Trail (Phase I) Opens Sept. 28 near Arboretum

11:35 a.m. - Phase I of the new Susie Stephens Trail will open with a ribbon cutting on September 28 at 1 p.m. near W. Woodland Blvd. and D. St.

Spokane Awarded $12M Grant for Urban Forestry

2:50 p.m. - The U.S. Department of Agriculture announced Spokane will receive $12 million in grants aimed at improving the tree canopy in our community.
