Spokane Police investigate bank robbery in south Spokane

Spokane Police Major Crimes Detectives are investigating a bank robbery occurring late this afternoon in south Spokane. The suspect showed the teller a note demanding cash and fled. This incident does not appear to be related to the armed robbery occurring earlier this morning at the Washington Trust Bank on N. Maple. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call Crime Check at 509.456.2233.

Today, just after 4:45 pm, January 3, 2014, Spokane Police responded to a call of a bank robbery at the U.S. Bank, 621 E. 30th Ave. in Spokane. The suspect, described as a white or Hispanic male with dark hair and facial hair, in his 20s or 30s, showed the teller a note demanding cash. No weapon was shown. The suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.
