SPD investigates two unrelated robberies, both occurring last night. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Check at 509.456.2233.

SPD Investigates Coffee Stand Robbery: On February 18th, at approximately 6:45 p.m., SPD Patrol officers responded to a report of an armed robbery at Jitterz Java in the 2100 block of W. Northwest Boulevard. Reports indicated a white male in his late 20’s, approximately 5’10” with a medium build wearing dark clothing displayed a handgun and demanded cash from the employee. The employee was not injured during the robbery. The suspect then left on foot westbound from the location with an undisclosed amount of cash. A K-9 track was attempted but was unable to locate the suspect. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call Crime Check at 509.456.2233.

SPD Investigates Robbery of Delivery Driver: On February 18th, at approximately 6:00 p.m., SPD Patrol officers responded to a report of an armed robbery in the 1800 block of E. South Riverton. A Jimmy John’s delivery driver reported that he had arrived at an apartment complex in the area with a delivery. When the victim went back to his truck, he was confronted by the suspect who displayed a handgun and demanded money. The victim described the suspect as a black male, approximately 6’00” with a medium build. The suspect left eastbound on foot from the location with an undisclosed amount of cash. The victim was not injured during the robbery. Anyone with information on this robbery is asked to call Crime Check at 509.456.2233.
