The Spokane Police Department will recognize employees for outstanding service at the annual SPD Awards Ceremony, tonight, March 6, 2014, at 6:00 pm at the Cataldo Hall Globe Room on the Gonzaga University Campus.

The following awards will be presented at the ceremony:

  • The Medal of Merit
  • The Chief’s Citation Award
  • Employee of the four quarters of 2013 and the Employee of the Year 2013

Storr was captured by Iraqi soldiers after his A-10 Thunderbolt was shot down near Kuwait. He was a prisoner of war for 33 days, spending a portion of that time in Baghdad’s Abu Ghraib prison, while his family and friends believed he had died in the plane crash.
