Officers arrest carjacking suspect within minutes of report

Officers arrest suspect in carjacking minutes after report; 31-year-old Tierra Walker booked for 1st Degree Robbery and felony warrant for Possession of a Controlled Substance.

On 03-04-14 around 1 p.m. Spokane Police responded to a report of a carjacking at 800 W. Shannon.

Responding officers found a female at the location with numerous lacerations, bleeding from her face. The victim reported she picked up a subject, whom she knew, in her vehicle. The subject subsequently assaulted her, pushed her out of the vehicle and drove off in her car. The female was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Officers located the car in the alley of Augusta/Post within minutes and took the suspect, 31-year-old Tierra Walker, into custody without incident. Walker was booked for 1st Degree Robbery and felony warrant for Possession of a Controlled Substance.
