Spokane Police are asking for the public's assistance identifying an assault suspect. Officers responded to a call in the 5300 block of N. Wall after the victim saw the male suspect prowling his vehicle yesterday around 3 p.m. The victim sustained a substantial head injury requiring stitches and was treated at a local hospital.

On April 3rd, 2014, at approximately 3 p.m., patrol officers responded to the report of an assault in progress near Howard and Rowan. When officers arrived, they contacted the victim who said he had seen the suspect prowling his vehicle in the 5300 block of N. Wall. The victim started following the suspect, reaching the area of Howard and Rowan, when the suspect turned and hit him with a metal object. The head injuries the victim sustained required stitches, but were non-life threatening. Officers in the area were unable to locate the suspect.

The suspect is described as a white male, 20-30 years old, 5’11”, thin build, with bad teeth, short shaved hair, wearing jeans, a dark colored hooded sweatshirt, and had faded blue tattoos. Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call Crime Check at 509.456.2233.
