Spokane Police respond to two Robbery reports in North Spokane; Officers locate and arrest a suspect, 24-year-old Joshua J. Roullier, approximately one hour after the initial call.

Last night, 4/26/14, just after 9:30 p.m., Spokane Police received a report of a Robbery at the Walgreens in the 1700 block of W. Northwest Blvd. The report indicated that a suspect had attempted to steal alcohol from the store and when confronted, displayed a handgun. The male suspect fled before officers arrived, however witnesses were able to provide officers with a good description of the suspect.

Also last night, at approximately 10 p.m., Spokane Police responded to a report of a robbery at the Safeway in the 2500 block of W. Wellesley Ave. Officers were on-scene less than two minutes after the initial call. Witnesses indicated that a male had attempted to take alcohol from the store and when confronted by store loss prevention officers, displayed a handgun. Loss prevention officers told SPD officers the suspect ran behind the store and entered a camper located on the west side of the Safeway. Officers responded to the camper and located the suspect, 24-year-old Joshua J. Roullier. He was arrested without incident and booked into the Spokane County Jail on one count of 1st Degree Robbery.

Spokane Police Major Crimes detectives are investigating the two incidents and believe the same suspect, Joshua J. Roullier, may be responsible for both incidents.
