Suspect Arrested in Connection to 6/8 Subway Robbery; Investigation On-going

Spokane Police have arrested a suspect in connection to a Robbery which occurred at the Subway (2900 S. Grand) on June 8, 2014. The suspect, David T. Bentley (20 years old) was arrested and booked into the Spokane County Jail on one count of 1st Degree Robbery. Spokane Police Major Crimes detectives are investigating Bentley’s possible connection to other recent Robbery incidents.

On Sunday, June 8, 2014, Spokane Police received a report of a Robbery at the Subway, located in the 2900 block of S. Grand. Witnesses told responding officers the suspect walked into Subway and demanded money, threatened an employee and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

In their investigative follow up, Spokane Police Major Crimes detectives connected Bentley to the Robbery through evidence at the scene and continue to investigate his involvement in other recent Robbery incidents. Bentley was arrested by the Spokane Police Patrol Anti-Crime Team yesterday as he was leaving an apartment complex in the 1400 block of E. Hartson. Bentley was booked into the Spokane County Jail on one count of 1st Degree Robbery.

He will appear in court today at 1:30 pm.
