Spokane Major Crimes Unit Investigating Overnight Homicide

The Spokane Police Major Crimes Unit is investigating an overnight homicide. Patrol officers responded to the report of a shooting in the 3000 block of North Division just after 12:30 a.m. Upon arrival, officers found a deceased male in the parking lot of the Howard Johnson Hotel. The investigation, including the apprehension of a suspect, is on-going.

Just after 12:30 a.m., Spokane Police patrol officers responded to the report of a male victim shot, laying in the parking lot of the Howard Johnson Hotel in the 3000 block of North Division. It was quickly determined that the male was deceased and Major Crimes detectives were called to the scene. Officers secured the scene as well as two vehicle believed to be involved.

The preliminary investigation as to how the involved parties know one another is still ongoing.
