Spokane Police Arrest Suspect Hours After Shooting

Spokane Police Major Crimes detectives have located and arrested a suspect in connection to a shooting that occurred this morning in West Central. Karen R. Eide (40 years old) was located near Ritzville this afternoon and arrested for 1st Degree Assault. Detectives believe the victim and suspect know one another and this incident was not random.

This morning, 11/3/14, at approximately 8:30 a.m., Spokane Police Patrol officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 700 block of W. Boone. Responding officers located a male with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the torso. According to witnesses, another involved vehicle left the scene after the incident. Officers searched the area, however the suspect vehicle was not located.

Major Crimes detectives, in addition to Patrol officers responded to the scene to investigate. Based on information gathered by detectives, Karen R. Eide was identified as a suspect. She was located in Ritzville this afternoon and arrested for 1st Degree Assault. Detectives believe the victim and suspect know one another and this incident was not random.
