Spokane Police have arrested 51-year-old Keith D. Hooks for Unlawful Imprisonment and Indecent Liberties. Keith is accused of approaching a 13-year-old victim outside a shopping center, attempting to get her to go to his home to engage in inappropriate sexual activity, grabbed her arm and followed her on foot. The victim in this case called police, provided an excellent suspect description and the suspect was quickly taken into custody.

Today, April 3, 2015, at approximately 2:05 pm, Spokane Police received a report of an unknown trouble at a north Spokane Walmart (2300 W. Wellesley). The caller, a 13-year-old girl, indicated an older male, later determined to be 51-year-old Keith D. Hooks, had approached her, tried to get her to go to his home and have sex with him, grabbed her arm, and followed her on foot.

Spokane Police officers arrived on-scene approximately four minutes after the initial call, located Hooks and the victim and arrested Hooks.

Hooks was booked into the Spokane County Jail on one count of Unlawful Imprisonment and one count of Indecent Liberties.

Investigation into the incident is ongoing.

The victim in this incident did everything right: she called 911, stayed on the phone with 911 dispatch, and provided an excellent suspect description. When officers arrived on scene minutes later, they were able to quickly locate and apprehend the suspect.
