Spokane Police officers respond to report of stabbing on W. Augusta

Today, March 3, 2016, Spokane Police officers responded to a report of a stabbing on the 600 block of W Augusta.

At approximately 4:40 p.m. 911 received a call of a stabbing on the 600 block of W. Augusta. The caller was a child. When officers arrived they found a woman stabbed in the abdomen.

Officers learned that the stabbing happened after an argument with her teenage son over doing chores.

She was transported by ambulance to a local hospital with serious injuries. Her condition is unknown.

The son was arrested and booked for 1st Degree Assault-DV. There is no outstanding threat to the community. This incident is still under investigation.
