Spokane Police Investigating Suspicious Death in the East Central Area

The Spokane Police Major Crimes Unit is investigating a suspicious death in the 1700 block of east First. Officers responded to a home at the location after receiving a call of a deceased male. After verifying the report, the Major Crimes Unit responded to handle the investigation.

Just after 7:00am this morning, March 16, 2016, SPD patrol officers responded to a home in the 1700 block of East first to investigate a suspicious death. When Officers arrived at what neighbors describe as an abandoned house, they discovered a deceased male who appeared to be in his mid-twenties. He was found in an upstairs bedroom.

Due to the suspicious circumstances surrounding the death, Major Crime’s detectives were called to the scene. They have interviewed several people who were found in the area and are now obtaining a search warrant to continue their investigation inside the residence.
