Spokane Police Investigating Bank Robbery Downtown

Spokane Police are investigating the robbery of the Banner Bank at W 3rd Ave and S Stevens St. The incident occurred just before 4:00pm. The suspect fled on foot Northbound from the bank with an undisclosed amount of money. Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call Crime Check at 456-2233.

This afternoon, June 1, 2016, just before 4:00 pm, Spokane Police received a report of a robbery at the Banner Bank in the in the 500 block of W 3rd Ave. The suspect entered the business and demanded money from a teller. He fled south bound on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

 

Officers arrived on scene within three minutes of being dispatched but were unable to locate the suspect.

The suspect is described as a 40 year old white male, approximately 5’10” tall and approximately 175 pounds. He was wearing dark clothing and a nylon stocking over his head. This investigation is ongoing.
