Spokane Police Officers, following up on the investigation of the drive-by shooting on north Atlantic, executed a search warrant on a vehicle seized the night of the shooting. Inside the vehicle, officers recovered multiple firearms which will likely lead to additional charges for the suspects involved.

On January 20, 2019, just after midnight, Spokane Police responded to the report of a fight at a residence in the 2400 block of north Atlantic. Officers went back to the residence just before 2:00am the same morning on the report of a shooting at the same address.

After stopping the suspects in the vehicle described by witnesses, officers booked the two suspects and seized the vehicle as evidence. After obtaining and executing a search warrant on the vehicle, officers recovered three handguns and a rifle (see attached picture). One of the firearms was listed as stolen. As the investigation continues, more charges are likely for each of the defendants.

Piper and Buchanan will be in court tomorrow at 1:30.
