SPD Major Crimes Investigating Body Found In the Spokane River

Spokane Police Major Crimes Unit investigate body found in river near Huntington Park.

Around 7:24 a.m., Spokane Police were called to 300 N. Post Street to a report of a body found in the river. Major Crimes Detectives began an investigation for the unattended death.

There are no details to release at this time regarding the gender and age of the deceased or when and how the body entered the river.

The Spokane County Medical Examiner’s Office will release the name of the decedent at a later date when appropriate.
