WheelShare Geo-Fence for Hoopfest

Sgt. Terry Preuninger, PIO

Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at 11:44 a.m.

The Spokane Police Department would like to remind everyone about the temporary geo-fence for WheelShare scooters and bikes that will be activated this weekend around the Hoopfest venue.

Beginning Friday, June 28, 6 p.m. and running through Sunday, June 30, 10 p.m. a geo-fence will be set one block outside the entire perimeter of the Hoopfest venue in all directions. This means if you are riding a WheelShare scooter or bike and coming into Hoopfest, the scooters and bikes will automatically power down about a block out from the event. The fence will also prevent the bikes and scooters from operating anywhere inside of Hoopfest.

Please park all WheelShare vehicles at one of the preferred parking zones outside of the prohibited area.

  • Howard Street and Mallon Avenue (Spokane Arena)
  • Calispel Street and Cataldo Avenue
  • Monroe Street and Broadway Avenue
  • Divsion Street and Main Avenue
  • Monroe Street and 1st Avenue
  • Lincoln Street and Steam Plant Alley
  • Stevens Street north of 2nd Avenue

Please visit the Hoopfest web site for maps and more details about the event.
