Spokane Police Detective and Downtown Officers arrest suspect in Arson Case within 48 hours of being reported

Philip B Lewis (53) of Okanogan, a 6 time convicted felon, was arrested today, June 28, 2019, for 2nd degree Arson in regards to a fire he set to an ATM in the 600 block of W. Sprague Ave on June 26th. The incident was caught on video, which was shown to downtown officers on June 28th. Lewis was identified and located near S. Browne St and W. Pacific Ave the same day by the same officers. Lewis was booked into jail on the charge of 2nd degree arson.

Lewis has six prior felony convictions, including a 2018 conviction for Arson where he set several fires along the Fish Lake Trail just West of Spokane.
