4/14/2020 Update: Monday, April 13, Bryce Thompson was sentenced to 25 years in prison for the homicide at 1600 W. Shannon Avenue on July 17, 2019. He had pled guilty to 1st Degree Murder with a deadly weapon enhancement in February of 2020. Thompson will have to serve 20 years before he can begin to accrue good time.

Update: The suspect Bryce J. Thompson is in custody in Montana.

Spokane Police Major Crimes are investigating a homicide at 1600 W. Shannon Avenue.

Wednesday, July 17, around 12:30 p.m., Spokane Police Officers responded to a 911 call in the 1600 block of West Shannon Avenue. The caller reported finding a female in a residence who appeared to have been assaulted. CPR was attempted on the victim but she was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Major Crimes Detectives responded and took over the investigation.

Detectives are looking for nineteen-year-old Bryce J. Thompson, a white male, 5’ 09” and 170 lbs, with thinning brown hair. If you know the location of Thompson, do not approach but call 911 or Crime Check at 509.456.2233.
