Man who was arrested by the Spokane Patrol Anti-Crime Team tied to over $300,000 in vehicle thefts and suspected of many more sentenced to 18 months in prison.
Andrew W. Smith 33 plead guilty to 2 counts of Theft of a Motor Vehicle and Attempt to Elude. Smith was taking keys from dealerships around town and coming back later to steal the cars. SPD was able to tie Smith to 7 different vehicle thefts (worth over 300 thousand dollars) and suspect him of many more. Smith was sentenced to 18 months in prison and 12 months of probation.
