Spokane Police North Units were dispatched to a three vehicle crash in north Spokane.  One of the vehicles involved is a school bus.  The driver that caused the collision was arrested for two counts of vehicular assault.

On 10/16/2019, at around 4pm, Spokane Police North units were dispatched to a three vehicle crash at the intersection of Ash Street and Rowan Avenue.  Two of the vehicles involved were passenger cars.  The third vehicle was a school bus that had kids onboard. Fortunately no kids on the bus were injured during the collision.

One of the passenger vehicle that were involved had two occupants inside of it.  Both occupants were transported up to Sacred Heart to be treated for their injuries.  The 29 year old adult female victim suffered a possible broken wrist.  The 5 year old juvenile victim suffered bruising, a cut lip and a black eye. Both injuries are not life threatening.

The other vehicle failed to yield for the stop sign and caused the collision.  This vehicle was driven by 81 year old Edward Ellenz.  Edward suffered minor injuries and was transported to the hospital to be treated. Once Edward was cleared medically, he was booked into the Spokane County Jail for 2 counts of vehicular assault.

The Investigation is still ongoing but alcohol appears to be a factor in the collision.
