SPD responds to shooting in the 1900 block of W First.

On 10-30-19 at 11:24 AM the Spokane Police Department responded to a home in the 1900 block of West First Avenue where a woman reported she had been shot.

SPD Patrol Units arrived and made contact with a female who had what appeared to be a gunshot wound, she was taken to medics and transported to the hospital.   A second person was found deceased in the home from an apparent gunshot wound.

At this time preliminary indications are the decedent took their own life and injured the second person in that process.   The scene has been secured and the Major Crimes Unit is investigating.
