Spokane Police are investigating a felony hit and run which sent a juvenile to the hospital.

Today November 4, 2019, just after 4:00PM the Spokane Police Department and the Spokane Fire Department responded to the area of N Post St. / W Alice Ave., for the report of a hit and run. Callers reported a maroon Buick sedan struck a juvenile who was crossing the street, and fled the scene northbound on N Post St. The child was initially reported to be motionless as he laid in the street. Upon the arrival of the Spokane Police Department and the Spokane Fire Department the child was treated for his non-life threatening injuries and transported to a local hospital. Witnesses reported the suspect vehicle to be an early 2000’s Buick Regal. The Buick has tinted windows, black wheels, no front license plate, and appears to be registered in Washington. The Buick will also have damage to the passenger side mirror and possibly the front passenger side bumper. Surveillance photographs of the suspect vehicle are included with this press release.

The Spokane Police Department would like anyone with information about this vehicle, or any witnesses who have not been contacted to call Crime Check at 509.456.2233. It is imperative that the suspect in this incident, who sent a child to the hospital, be located and brought to justice. The investigation is ongoing. Incident number 2019-20209420.
