On 12/29/2019, at around 5:45 PM, North Side Patrol Officers responded to a vehicle vs pedestrian crash at the intersection of Alberta Street and Heroy Avenue.

The driver was headed south on Alberta Street and didn’t see the pedestrian in the roadway.  It is unknown if the pedestrian was in the crosswalk or not. The pedestrian was conscious and talking to medics prior to being transported to the hospital for his injuries.  He is currently listed in stable condition.

The driver remained on-scene and is cooperating with investigators.  Speed nor impairment appear to be a factor in this crash at this time.  This crash is still under investigation.

The Spokane Police Department would like to remind pedestrians especially at night to use crosswalks or cross at the intersection when it’s clear to do so.
