Repeat Offender Released and Immediately Re-Offends

On March 27th 2020 Spokane Police responded to a purse theft in the parking lot of Safeway on the 900 block of E. Mission.  The Victim reported someone stole her purse while she was loading groceries into her vehicle.  The purse was taken by the suspect while he was still in his moving vehicle.

A member of the Spokane Police Department Police Anti-Crime team (PAC) responded and immediately contacted the victim and witnesses and gathered information on the suspects’ car.   The suspect was already using the victim’s credit cards and with that information, SPD quickly located the suspect’s vehicle and conducted a stop.

Jacob Bozo (26) was then detained, all of the victim’s stolen items were recovered along with the items purchased with the victim’s stolen credit cards. 

Bozo was charged with 7 counts of 2nd degree Theft, 6 counts of identity theft, and 1 count of Money Laundering.

Bozo has been very active lately, having been arrested 6 times since last September, the most recent arrest earlier this March on the 12th. In that incident Bozo was arrested for Possession of a stolen motor vehicle, unlawful possession of a firearm, possession of a controlled substance and a department of corrections warrant.
