Two separate early morning collisions send two pedestrians to local hospitals in critical condition

On September 8, 2021 just before 6:00am, 911 received a phone call regarding a vehicle vs bicyclist collision near the intersection of E. 14th Avenue and S. Grand Blvd.

SPD officers arrived on scene and located a victim in the roadway with life threatening injuries. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he remains in critical condition.

The driver of the vehicle in this incident remained on scene. SPD investigators are currently on scene conducting the investigation. E. 14th Avenue and S. Grand Blvd remains closed. SPD kindly asks the public to consider an alternate route as the area will remain closed to vehicular and pedestrian traffic for the foreseeable future.

 

On September 8, 2021 at approximately 7:30am, 911 received a phone call regarding vehicle vs pedestrian collision near the intersection of N. Division Street and E. Rowan Avenue.

SPD officers arrived on scene and located a male in the roadway with potentially life threatening injuries. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he remains in critical investigation.

Southbound traffic at Division/Rowan remains open, however northbound traffic at N. Division and E. Rowan is closed. SPD kindly asks the public to consider an alternate route, as this area currently remains closed to pedestrian and vehicular traffic due to the ongoing investigation.
