Information needed in on-going sexual assault investigation

In March 2023, SPD’s Special Victims Unit (SVU) detectives arrested 32-year-old Brian Ault for Assault 2nd Degree and Rape 2nd Degree. In that incident, Ault and the victim met via a dating app. During the course of the investigation, detectives have received information indicating Ault possibly committed similar assaults in the past.

SPD is seeking to contact any potential victims of Ault (picture attached), or anyone who has information of similar crimes connected to him. Ault’s picture is being released for those that may have had an interaction with him but do not know his name. If you have information, please contact Detective Green at bgreen@spokanepolice.org, reference incident 2023-20047146.
