Major Crimes Unit investigating after deceased male found in roadway

On 12-5-23, at about 5:30AM, SPD received a call of a subject injured in the roadway near N Pettet Dr and W Nora Ave in Northwest Spokane. SPD and SFD responded to the scene and located an incapacitated subject. Despite the efforts of first responders, the adult male was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Spokane Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit (MCU) is investigating. Despite the victim being located in the roadway, it has not been determined if the incident involved a vehicle collision.

The identity of the deceased will be released by the medical examiner’s office at a later date.
