Mcleod was located and taken into custody by SPD’s Violent Crimes Task Force (VCTF). Thank you to all that provided information.

Original Release:

SPD is seeking the public’s assistance locating suspect who assaulted an officer

SPD is asking the public for help locating 25-year-old Delane R. Mcleod. Mcleod is wanted on a multitude of criminal charges, including assault 2nd degree (felony) on a law enforcement officer. Probable cause for the assault charge was established after Mcleod struck an officer, who was in his vehicle, with his car and then fled. The officer was transported to a local hospital for evaluation. The extent of the officer’s injuries are currently unknown, however they are not life-threatening.

SPD has recovered the vehicle Mcleod was driving during the incident.

See the attached photos of Mcleod. Anyone with information about Mcleod’s current whereabouts is urged to call 911. Anyone with information about Mcleod, or the incident, is also asked to email Major Crimes Unit investigator Taylor at phtaylor@spokanepolice.org reference case 2023-20238698.
