Spokane Police responded to a shooting in east central Spokane yesterday morning. One adult male was declared deceased at the scene. This investigation is still ongoing.
Just after 10:00am yesterday morning, November 9, 2024, Spokane Police were called to a shooting in the area of South Riverton and Lacey in east Spokane. Once on scene, officers located the victim and immediately attempted lifesaving measures, but he succumbed to his injuries on scene. If you witnessed or have video of the incident and have not spoken to police, please call Crime Check at 509-456-2233.
This is an ongoing investigation. Detectives are still working to locate the suspect. It is not believed this was a random crime and there is not an apparent danger to the community at this time. The Spokane County Medical Examiner’s office will release the victim’s name and manner of death.
