SPD asks public to help locate missing woman

The Spokane Police Department is asking for assistance from the public in locating a missing adult female who escaped from the custody of Eastern State Hospital while in Spokane.

The woman is described as:

  • A 43-year-old white female
  • Approximately 5’2” tall
  • Short brown hair and brown eyes
  • Wearing a black stocking cap, red sweatshirt top, gray sweat pants, and a leather waist and wrist restraint

Anyone with information on this missing female is asked to call 911.

This woman is not considered a danger to the community and officials are concerned for her personal safety.

The incident occurred this morning just before 11 a.m. in the 600 block of S. Cowley. Officers were called to the scene by Eastern State Hospital officials to help locate the missing female. Officers searched the area, but were unable to locate the missing woman.
