Update:

Spokane Police Arrest a shooting suspect for 1st Degree Assault related to the August 19th shooting that took place at Harmon Park in North Spokane.

On Monday August 19, 2019 about 2230 hours, Spokane Police Officers responded to several reports of shots fired at Harmon Park in North Spokane (Regal St. / Decatur Ave.).  Upon their arrival they found a male suffering from multiple gunshots wounds in the street.  The responding officers provided immediate first aid and life saving measures until the victim could be safely transported to an area hospital for treatment.  Officers spoke with several witnesses and were told the suspect fled the scene prior to Police arrival.    The Officers at the scene were able to gather enough information to identify a suspect.

The case was assigned to the Spokane Regional Safe Streets Task Force.  After following up on several leads including evidence from the scene and statements from witnesses, probable cause was established to arrest the suspect the next day. 

On 08/21/2019, Mason James Bolton, 20 years old, from Spokane, Washington was arrested for 1st Degree Assault.  He was booked into the Spokane County Jail.

Harmon Park shooting sends one man to hospital

On 08-19-19 a little after 10:30 p.m., SPD received multiple reports of gunshots in Harmon Park, 6000 N Regal in Spokane’s Hillyard neighborhood. SPD patrol officers quickly arrived on scene and found one adult male suffering from gunshot wounds. SPD Officers began rendering medical care to the wounded individual and treatment was later transferred to SFD and AMR paramedics. The subject was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.

Currently no arrests have been made in the incident, and the shooter is outstanding. SPD has collected multiple pieces of evidence and talked to persons in the area. The investigation is ongoing. The events which precipitated the shooting and the relationship between suspect and victim are unknown at this time.
