11:34 a.m. - SFD Launches Virtual Fire Safety Program for Preschools and Families

Residential Fire

12:16 p.m. - Tuesday, SFD and a District 1 Engine Company, through automatic aid, were dispatched to the 2400 block of East 5th Avenue for a residence on fire.

Jan. 19

South Hill Garage Fire

7:48 a.m. - SFD and Fire District 8, were dispatched to the 1800 block of East 18th Avenue for a report of a fire in an attached garage underneath a house.

South Hill House Fire

11:02 a.m. - SFD was dispatched to the 600 block of West 20th Avenue for multiple reports of a one and a half story home with its back porch on fire.

Deputy Fire Marshal Near Miss

10:59 a.m. - Deputy Fire Marshal's vehicle crushed by Ponderosa Pine tree while he occupied the driver's seat. He was uninjured and able to walk away.

First Responder Vaccination Clinic

10:54 a.m. - Spokane County's First Responders finished its mission, with the last vaccination occurring Thursday, Jan. 14

Residential Basement Fire

10:48 a.m. - SFD was dispatched to the 700 block of South Lincoln Place for a report of a basement fire in an apartment.

Early Morning Garage Fire

11:15 a.m. - SFD responded to the 3800 block of East Rich Avenue for a report of a structure fire.

East Sprague Motor Vehicle Accident

4:11 p.m. - SFD was dispatched to the 1200 block of E. Sprague for a reported motor vehicle accident.

Logan Fire Child Fatality

12:03 p.m. - SFD is saddened to announce the passing of 4-year-old Michael LeRoy Kane II, the community's first fire fatality of 2021.

Early Sunday Morning Logan Fire

9:42 a.m. - SFD was dispatched to the 1200 block of E. Illinois for a reported house fire.

Christmas Morning Commercial Fire

9:39 a.m. - A first alarm was dispatched to North Hough Street and East Trent Avenue for a 911 report of a commercial building on fire.
